Scope:

2009-2010 is a reauthorization year.  During reauthorization years more significant changes are possible.  Joint efforts by UTO and Student Financial Assistance Office will use the PeopleSoft Financial Assistance module of PeopleSoft to align ASU processes with the Financial Aid reguations.  The scope of this project is to make necessary adjustments to PeopleSoft to support 2009-2010 federal regulations for financial aid.

  • Install regulatory updates from Oracle to meet ASU processing deadlines
  • Modify ASU extensions and modifications to accommodate the new regulations
  • Update configuration tables to include ASU changes in Financial Aid
  • Modify set-up tables to reflect the new academic year and regulations
  • Test configuration and code changes
  • Modify run controls and QBU processes to reflect the new year
  • Align FA system with other modifications introduced due to other ASU projects in Financial Aid

ASU status as an experimental site is expiring.  This change may also spawn related efforts. The two items in tthis part of the project are changes in the timing and requirements for exit interviews and the methods for loan proration.
