This project is to upgrade the Recruitment Management Plus application used by the Student Recruitment office of University Student Initiative from 8.0 to 9.2. No additional hardware is required, as this will continue to run on existing hardware.

Scope:

The customer is requesting this application be upgraded to 9.2, before the vendor drops support on the current production version .

All Milestones and Schedule:

Check the vendors availability, and schedule staff availability before 6/8. - Completed - the vendor has scheduled us in to begin the upgrade on 6/8.

Outage from (7pm 06/07/2009 – 8am 06/09/2009)
06/07/2009 Servers Ready for CollegeBoard install (make sure CB will be able to access the servers)
06/07/2009 UTO DBA – 8.x Full Database backups including (DTS packages and Jobs)
06/07/2009 Block Users from accessing application (except: Delaney Dickerson & Ruben Minton & Maria Haugen)
06/08/2009 CollegeBoard 32-bit SQL2005 install scripts for upgrade on current Database server (RPLUSDB)

CollegeBoard .Net Application install
06/08/2009 UTO DBA – 9.x Full Database backups after upgrade is completed (but before testing starts)
06/08/2009 Servers Ready for Tier 1 user testing (Reuben , Delaney, Maria)
06/08/2009 or 06/09/2009 Disaster Recovery Final Decision (if applicable)
06/08/2009 CollegeBoard - Final Data Migration for 9.x
06/08/2009 UGA User interface rollout by USITS (only if issues, the web address is the same and it’s a .net web app)

Deliverables:

Successful upgrade of Recruitment Plus to 9.2.

This is vendor supported software,if we do not up grade,we will be running our production without vendor support.
