Summary:

During the November / December 2009 tiime frame CMSC will be applying bundles CS Bundles 21, 22/Regs1, HR bundle 20 and Tax Updates 9D and 9E to the PeopleSoft HRSA Environment. ASU will be responsible for applying retrofits and verifying both ASU Mods and PeopleSoft delivered functionality in HRSA. A coordinated effort between ASU UTO staff and Business users will be required to complete this task. Established test case scenarios are crucial as well as new testing scenarios for functions introduced through recent development.

This update will support ASU Financial Aid applications filed in January 2010 and recent tax changes.

Scope:

The project will use UTO's standard methodology for applying the delivered Updates and Fixes from Oracle.

  • Apply standard updated to Demo environment
  • Apply upgrade to ASU environment
  • Compare to identify impact of changes on ASU customizations/modifications
  • Build a retrofit project to reapply ASU customizations
  • Test upgraded system with standard test scripts
  • Apply changes to production.

Change control methods are utilized to avoid conflicts between new development and the retrofit effort.

Both UTO and business offices will participate in testing and confirm results to make sure installation does not interfer with business operations.
