Scope: 

The initial phase of this project is to create a generic billing system that the individual departments/centers are able to review and edit the information before processing to Advantage. Scope includes: 

  • If the transaction errors out, a note to the initiator and the system provide information on why it failed, i.e. lack of funds.
  • Query the data warehouse for information on the account status.  If the account is associated with a grant the information on the close date is queried.
  • Provide overrides to Advantage underfunded accounts.
  • Notification to PI when transactions against their accounts have occured.
  • Informative error messages to department conducting the transation from Advantage.
  • Historical/Searchable information on transactions.
  • Ability to modify transactions before processing and after erroring out.
  • Transactions processed multiple times per day.

An Advantage processing system that can accommodate any department/center without creating new interfaces on Advantage or web application.
