Integrating the existing Keywatcher application at the UTO Computing Commons (CPCOM) with ISAAC access security.

Deploying UTO Keywatcher at ASU West Campus with ISAAC access security.

Deploying ASU Polytechnic Facilities Keywatcher at ASU Polytechninc Campus with ISAAC access security.

Keywatcher is an electronic lock box that contains campus master keys for telephone and data maintenance. Authorized individuals currently use a PIN to get access to the Keywatcher.

By integrating Keywatcher with ISAAC, the risk of a PIN being shared by multiple people is mitigated. That is accomplished by requiring ISAAC card authentication to enable the PIN pad to be activated. ISAAC authentication will be initiated using the individual's Sun Card.

Deliverables: 

Keywatcher system integrated with ISAAC security access. This will be for the following locations:

  1. UTO Computing Commons
  2. ASU Polytechnic Campus - for entire campus usage
  3. ASU West Campus - for UTO usage

This will improve security access to various campus master keys and provide improved audit tracking for notification and historical usage.

Risk & Threats: 

Today the Keywatcher access control is provided using individual PIN assignments to ASU employees and contractor partners. A PIN could be shared - which poses a threat.
