Summary: 

The scholarships office (part of Student Financial Assistance Office) currently processes departmental and foundation scholarships by receiving paper Scholarship Award Authorization (SAA) forms that have been signed by departmental representatives. These are then reviewed one-by-one by scholarship staff and manually posted. This modification would allow departmental staff members to enter these awards themselves, have them approved by the appropriate departmental business managers and deans, and then posted in batch as financial aid awards.

1. Modification to PeopleSoft to support distributed scholarship entry
2. Testing of the modification
3. Phased adoption of distributed scholarship entry to various ASU departments - pilot for Spring 2009
4. New security roles to permit appropriate access and approvals
5. Installation of warning messages on entry, award and disbursement based on Advantage account balance.
