Summary: 

Public Affairs publishes a paper directory of persons affiliated with ASU who have been designated as an expert in a specific area of interest. This project will create functionality within My Profile and ASU's public Directory pages that will allow people to search for experts online and therefore replace this printed guide.

Scope: 

In Scope: Faculty and Staff will be able to identify themselves as an expert by choosing a predefined Topic and entering Area of Expertise details in My Profile. This data will be stored in PeopleSoft and searchable by the public via the Advanced Search in Directory. Public Affairs will have PeopleSoft Admin pages where they will be able to define Topics, enter and edit Areas of Expertise, and remove specific Experts from the public search results.
