Dashboard Speed Improvement Project (Part 1)

Quick View
Summary:

This project is to test and analyze specific methods that should improve dashboard speed, to identify and understand all work required to implement each method or combination of methods, and to decide which methods we’ll implement to neutralize and reverse the negative branding associated with our slower-loading dashboards.

Note:
Although the dashboards are a reporting tool similar to MyReports, their display and GUI of the tool misleads users to have speed expectations similar to other web services. Be that as it may, Dashboards have been branded as “slow” and as having “poor performance.” This results in users’ frustration and the potential dismissal of Dashboards as a poor quality tool. To avoid this and reverse the negative branding of our University’s Dashboards it’s imperative we improve their speed and performance.
