Scope:

To redevelop the CLAS Office of Academic Programs application in .NET according to CLAS’s Office of Academic Programs current needs. The previous application that existed in MS Access is outdated and not pulling the needed data sources. The project was 20% complete before UTO took over the development of the application from CLAS.

The application is used to handle multiple administration/processing needs in the office including:

Medical / compassions withdrawl
Grade changes
Standards
Overloads
Late Registration
Reinstatement / low GPA
ARCS (Academic Record Change)
Advising
DOGs

The application is needed to support the workflow processes in the CLAS office that track the progress and outcome of student requests. This functionality is not available in PeopleSoft.

The old application was done in MS-Access and was pulling data from the old Data Warehouse. The new application will pull data from PeopleSoft. The reports and merge letters will also be updated to pull the correct data.

The development of the new application will have improved security. It will be hosted on UTO servers instead of CLAS servers and require that reports be accessed through Citrix.

The new target date for completion is August 15, 2008.

Upcoming Milestones:
02/28/09 - Complete Overloads module, Reinstatement/low GPA module, ARCS (Academic Record Change) module (almost complete, just bugs remaining)
03/01/09 - 03/14/09 - Move modules to qa / CLAS test modules
03/15/09 - 03/30/09 - fix any bugs reported
03/01/09 - 03/30/09 - Remap Reports to new data sources (get list of reports that CLAS is currently using)
03/01/09 - 03/30/09 - Remap data sources for the Merge Letters
